Haylie Ferguson writes about proximity: how close people can stand to each other and still miss. Her work moves between plain-spoken songwriting and staged, photographic worlds built with Maison Oblique.

OB.SCENA I (2025) dealt with the body as a public product: butcher light, packaging, the gaze that buys. Its answer, The Bell Jar (2026), turns inward to water, preserved flowers and the ordinary competence of continuing inside a sealed room.

The Bell Jar arrived in two parts. Esther Greenwood, released on 4 September, tells it from inside, in thirteen songs that still romanticise the wound. Victoria Lucas, released on 25 September, returns to the same history in seventeen clinical files.
